Coastal city capital of Morocco since 1912, Rabat has just over than 2 million inhabitants. Modern city, whose inhabitants are more reserved than in other Moroccan cities, it has many fascinating historical sites to visit, including the superb Oudaïas Kasbah, built in the mid 12th century. The Hassan Tour, unique and whose construction began in the late 12th century, was intended to house the world's largest minaret, but was never completed. Just in front of the tower is another of the main attractions of the city, the mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II, built in the 20th century.
